We are Jen and Kristen, two students about to become very stressed out seniors at a Pennsylvania liberal arts college once August rolls around. Until then, we are simply friends apart for three months hoping to produce something creative and interesting in the interim.

Oh! And neither one of us is either a major or a minor in studio arts.

In the spring of 2010, frustrated with all (academic) work and no (creative) play, Kristen began a project with a friend from her hometown with whom she had experienced many a high school art class--each week they would create a piece of art (as simple as a sketch or as complex as a painting) in response to a chosen theme. On Sunday, the final pieces would be posted online and a new theme would be given.

Kristen and Jen decided to take this idea and apply it to their summer apart. The structure is still the same but this time the images are collected in a joint Flickr account rather than in a low-quality Facebook album. No offense Facebook. Here are the fruits of our labors! We hope you enjoy!
