Clara Charlotte Roethe is an illustrator and guerilla artist. Her work has been showcased on the lampposts and forgotten corners of Krefeld and Wiesbaden, it has also been published in KUSH!, a Latvian comic magazine and MASTA # 3 an international magazine on streetart and culture.
Clara Charlotte was born in Mettmann, North Rhine Westphalia in 1984 and raised close to the forest in a small town in Hessen. Her grandfather taught her to draw and paint in watercolors.
She played in the forest (she still can build a pretty darn good fort) and read comics until she was sent to grammar school. In school she argued with her art teacher and fell in love with books. She finished highschool with very good grades and decided to study something she would not need them for. 2004 she moved to Krefeld to study Graphic Design.
She has worked as a shop attendant, art teacher, popcorn maker, fair hostess and many other things.
All she really wants to do is draw :), travel and write.
