Born and raised within sight of Stoke, I've now got to that age where I'm nostalgic for my youth and for the sights and sounds now long gone. My main interest is Railways but I'm also keen on old buses of the Potteries, I've worked on the Railway since 1998 and have tried my hand at a variety of posts and TOCs amongst them are Railtrack,Network Rail, EWS and Southern. Infact I was working Nights at Derby PSB when Railtrack was put into Receivership by the then Transport Secretary "Cab for Hire" Steven Byers....

After having lived in Tipton, Pendeford and Derby my current home is Newhaven in East Sussex which I love as it's by the seaside and close to the South Downs after all of the above moves I've still managed to retain my Potteries accent or so my partner tells me (she's from the Black country)

My nickname at work is "Slippers" on account of my love of wearing slippers whilst at work, a habbit I've had since I started at Watery Lane.
