In parenting, we are fortunate enough to view the world through a child's eyes. I'd like them to see the world through mine, but no matter how enjoyable they find it, it will never be equal to my seeing theirs.
As much as I'd like to have time to use this format as a photo communique, I haven't! For my family and friends who'd like to communicate about any of this, call me. I still love the sound of a human voice and since you know me well, it's also because I can speak faster than I type! And I type well!

My final thought is this. I made a living by using the left side of my brain and not having time to devote to any artistic abilities. I now have some time to express what's been in my right side. Although I have a perfectly fantastic 23 year old film camera, I find digital photography so instantly gratifying and can also view whether what I wanted to get is what I got so I can correct it immediately on the next shot. This only applies if I'm not into a moment when I can't shoot fast enough for the circumstances that drove me to grab my camera in the first place!
You know, it's that "oooh, oooh, oooh", I gotta get a picture of this" feeling. It's the reason why I must tell perfect strangers passing by while I'm crouching/lying on the grass or railroad tracks trying to get a "perfect" shot of something " that "I'm a person with a camera and am to be considered armed, and dangerous."!.
I use an old Apple iMac and iBook to store photos and have no "photoshop" program to enhance them just the few basic-
straighten, adjust exposure, contrast, saturation, crop, plus I can change them to B&W, Sepia, etc.
