I'm a professional microscopist and scientific imaging specialist. I seem to have an innate visual-spatial ability, coupled with a vivid curiosity, which together make photography vastly compelling to me.

I was quite the artist as a child and young adult, drafting fantastical worlds and casts of characters, but my profession revealed to me the beauty of the world all around.

My muse is born of nature, natural phenomena, and especially things unseen by the naked eye (microscopic and celestial).

The camera gets me out into the world, away from computers, laboratories and cubicles, and connects me to all things.
