I'm a professional journalist, and currently a senior writer for CNET News.com. I'm writing "The Entrepreneur's Guide to Second Life: Making Money in the Metaverse," which will be published in October 2007 by Wiley. I used to write for publications like The New York Times, Wired News and Wired Magazine. I'm a Burning Man freak. I like cats. I live in San Francisco, but have also lived in New York, Paris, Israel and Santa Cruz. I have an iPod. I used to have a Westfalia, but I don't anymore. I go car camping all the time. I admit it: I like Survivor. I eat a lot of candy. My first concert was Run DMC and the Beastie Boys, but that was an anomaly. I have a Master's. I like olives, and love being by the ocean, but I've never surfed. My house is somewhat messy, but I don't like it that way. I collected baseball cards when I was a kid, and now I collect purple platypusses. I would like to live in Italy someday, and I wish that it would be sunny outside more often.
