Recovering postgraduate oral historian and PhD researcher who wasted many years conducting research on the effects of late-20th century deindustrialisation on mental health.

I shoot nearly all my stuff on film (I do own a couple of digital cameras, but one is disguised as an iPhone and the other is only used for scanning film negs).

Given the option, I prefer listening to records rather than CDs. Luddism? Perhaps. I just know what I like, and frankly, I'm too old to be mistaken for a hipster.

So far, life has taught me many things, among them:

- The Beatles were quite likely aliens from outer space

- Beer is the cornerstone of human civilisation

- Everything is absurd.

I hope you'll find something at least vaguely diverting in my photostream. I love seeing other people's work, and there is so much on this site that inspires and drives me to do better.
