My passion is creating. I have a natural born talent for drawing and painting soulful eyes---in other words I don't have to strive for it, rather it seems to "create" itself. It flows freely from that place inside I really didn't know existed. And when I tap into it I am always delighted and rather surprised by what comes forth. I am endlessly fascinated by the complexities of human emotion/soul expressions and that happen on the face and thru the body. This is what makes me "tick". I love all aspects of artistic expression--music, painting, sculpture, and photography. Photography being the most challenging for me, not because I don't have an "eye" but rather I am learning how to artistically capture what I see with the tool, the camera. Then I discovered Photoshop...eh heh...and to my delight I could make art out of my incompetence! I am excited with every new discovery of the digital capabilites that exist now. Not to "perfect" an image, as this still somehow feels like a "cheat". But instead to take an image and make it something different, something it never would have been with out the alteration.

I also love working with fabrics and textiles, as well as metal, glass, ceramic, beads, and polymer clays.

I suppose I'm still searching for the perfect niche where my artistic style steps up and dominates.
