ITU is graphic design alliance between Lana Cavar and Danielle Aubert who met in the graphic design MFA program at Yale University.

After graduation Danielle moved to Detroit, Michigan and Lana moved to New York City and then to Zagreb, Croatia. In 2008 we collaborated officially for the first time on the design of exhibition materials for the show ReFusing Fashion: Rei Kawakubo at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. In 2009 we started thinking of ourselves as an International Typographical Union.
