My first attempts at doing night work were in January of 2010, so I had no freakin idea exactly what I was doing (not that I do now either). I attempted to get some images of a Buddah statue by a full moon (labeld as UNO). That did not go so well but hey, I can only get better...right? I, probably like most other night shooter's got interested in night photography/lightpainting through the work of Troy Paiva (AKA Lost America).

I have no formal experience or training with photography or photoshop so the only adjustments I have made to my pics are minor adjustments in Photoshop such as cleaning up flashlight blobs, maybe a little adjustment to the exposure or white balance, wtf does that mean??. I started out with a Sony 360 and in October of 2011 moved up to a Sony 560, then in October of 2013 went all out and got a Nikon d800. I use a beat up tripod and ballhead I got used off of ebay. At the end of 2012 I invested in a Protomachine flashlight, can you say a flashlight is Badass!?! In late 2019 while photographing in Louisiana my Nikon attempted to crack the asphalt one night, it failed and the next full moon I was began using a Pentax K1.

After being a lifelong Kansas resident In June of 2014 I moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and in August of 2017 myself and all my gear headed west to the Texas hill country, then in March of 2022 all my gear got packed up again and moved north to Fayetteville arKansas.

My primary interest is cars but I have no problem shooting pictures of just about anything that will hold still for a few minutes.

Death before dishonor...NO!! Death before Daybreak!!! Who really wants to look at that stuff in the daylight, I mean really??

By the way, should you decide that you want to copy/steal any of my images for your own personal use just because they are not marked as being "copyrighted"...may you burn in hell...may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your crotch...may....well I bet your get the idea.
