ARTIST - DARRYL FELDMAN

I’ve been an East Coast Guy for most of my life - growing up in NJ (although I’ve never seen an episode of “The Sopranos”) and Boston. But, after coming out to PDX in 2005 for a fresh start, I immediately knew this was my home. Since then, I’ve embraced PDX’s pandemic collective, glass-is-half-full spirit as my own. This Jersey Boy is proud to say he’s nestled quite nicely in The Best Little City in the World of PDX. Right on.

STYLE & INFLUENCE

My artistic style is pop/comic, and am self-taught (although my grandmother would say I got it from her). My two big influences:

1. Comics - I was a big comic book fan as a kid; and love the vibrance, energy and simplicity of acrylics.

2. Family - My mom’s also an artist (expert in mosaics, jewelery), which has given me a rather “fractured” view on the power of color.
