[ where I'm from ]
I grew up with bugs and solitude. Twenty acres of field and forest in the
Rocky Mountains was my backyard, and each day was a field trip into nature.
I thought I was going to be a scientist until I learned how strict and
repetitious science work actually was. I want to be free to do anything
and travel anywhere, so I got a degree in Graphic Design.
The main focus of my design is illustration. I have been drawing my whole
life and now I want to use my drawing to teach and to help. My family, well my
mom's side, is full of teachers. My grandma always told me never to
"get the teaching bug." I got the teaching bug in a way my grandma didn't expect.
I'm a designer that educates people ( often about bugs ).
[ the now and the near ]
I'm finishing up my last few weeks of classes at Montana
State University then I will graduate on May 7th. The month of May I will be
poking around online looking for opportunities and funding. June, I will be
moving into a new apartment and finding some kind of job. The rest of
the summer will be pushing my work and my portfolio around. I want to
travel a little, do a few art shows, and hopefully land a creative job.
