i think flickr is a great all-encompassing thing,and im glad to be a tiny part of it....i am new to photography and havent got past the point and shoot phase......yet. i am amazed by some of the high quality photography i get to see and the sense of vision of the people capturing their own distinctive brand of reality.

compared to a lot of slick,too-perfect,polished stuff you see in many professional photographers portfolios..........many of these are so much more to my liking.....

i am more of a spectator than a participant in this image-sharing realm.......and i am constantly aware of the generosity(and humanity)of those people who capture and share........
