I am a self-taught amateur photographer from Centerville, Ohio USA who started out with a Nikon FE-2 film camera back in 1985 doing landscape picture's mostly. More recently I entered the world of digital photography, beginning with a Nikon D-5000 and quickly advancing to my current Nikon D-7000. I have a collection of lenses, with each one offering a unique way to capture a subject.

I love the challenge of manually setting up for a photo. I like to work with depth of field where the subject is well in focus and sharp in detail with nice lighting on them.

My passion is flowers, with the insect world being a close runner-up. I love to capture nature close-up in its natural lighting and use the lens to emphasize its beauty and intricacy. I have numerous parks, gardens and rivers close to me that I enjoy visiting regularly.
