I have been taking photographs forever. While we are strictly amateurs, a love for photography runs in my family. I inherited my love for taking pictures from my mother and I have passed it on to my daughter, as she pursues her interest through 4-H and with me as we go on our own photo shoots with our photography friends.

I started to get really "focused" on photography with the purchase of a Canon Rebel TXi in 2006. I upgraded to a Canon Rebel T5i in 2013. My "go to" lens is my Canon 70-300mm, but I recently bought a Tamron 200-500mm for trips to the zoo, with a tripod of course!

I work hard on developing my photographer's "eye" and constantly strive to improve my understanding of settings and the mechanics of my camera. And for me, that's an easy chore, because taking photographs is what I love to do!!
