I have been taking photographs since 1958 mainly using in those days Agfa CT18 and with a Vito B camera, I have always been interested in natural history and in particular butterflies so in 1961 I invested in a Nikon F camera and gradually accumulated a wide selection of lenses including a Micro-Nikkor 55mm which was my favourite. This camera served me well for many years, no automation of course you had to use a separate exposure meter and adjust the focus yourself I still have this camera.I also had various other camera bodies over the years but about 2015 I was beginning to find Nikon equipment too heavy and bulky to carry about so changed my allegiance and bought Panasonic micro four thirds and sometime later also an Olympus and have found these ideal especially the small physical size of the lenses compared to their full frame equivalents.
