I shoot on film / Kuvaan filmille
After my working career in telecommunications industry I now have more time to my favorite hobbies, one of them is photography. I am the unofficial event photographer for any family occasions. These would be digital and taken to be shared with the loved ones. I am a Canon man, now using EOS-R with a number of lenses. This I do, but shooting digital is kind of boring.
What I really am interested in is film photography. Over time I have moved to larger formats. Today I mainly shoot on medium format but also 4x5 large format. Primarily black and white, but also color. I develop films at home and have recently set up a dark room for prints.
My Hobby started in the 60s, first with father's 6x9 box camera and his Russian Lubitel 6x6 TLR. I used my first summer job's pay to get myself an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, which I still have and sometimes even use. I also have Canon AE-1 Program, Canonet QL17, Mamiya 35-II and Canon EOS-1, for shooting 35mm.
2010 I got myself a Mamiya RB67 (those were not yet expensive then...) now with 50mm, 90mm, 127mm and 150mm (soft focus) lenses. I love this heavy beast. I just got myself a more luggable camera, a Hasselblad 500c/m. Other tools for medium format: Yashica MAT-124G, Mamiya "six" folder, Contessa Nettel Cocarette (116 film camera which can use 120 rolls to shoot 6x11 cm). My latest medium format purchases are a Mamiya ”Six”, Zeiss Ikon Box Tengor and the awesome Voigtländer Bessa II.
Over the past year I have acquired equipment and some skill for large format 4x5 photography. Got an Intrepid camera with 150mm and 75mm lensses and Harman Titan 75mm pinhole camera.
