Mid thirties working mum of one who dabbles in bits and pieces of creativity such as photography, sewing, scrapbooking, etc

In terms of quilting I prefer modern styles/patterns. Not necessarily lots of bold colours but things which aren't restricted by what is 'right' or 'wrong', i.e. stuff that the quilt police would probably disapprove of. LOL!

Not that I don't like bold colours, I like lots of colours and dislike very little. I'm not overly keen on traditional/'old fashioned' patterned materials, but pretty much anything else goes.

I appreciate the work and effort put into many art quilts but I don't really "get" them. I prefer quilts to be made predominantly from cottons so they can be functional.
