Hi I am a retired member of British Rail,I have worked at Shirebrook doing the signal lamps at all 17 signal boxes plus have worked all the signal boxes in the Shirebrook area thanks chaps and also worked at Norwood crossing,I then worked from Newark NG from 8-85 untill 31-12-88,my job at Newark NG was to cover all Platform staff,and also all the CCTV crossings from Claypole to Eggmanton Road South of Tuxford,I also covered Grassthorpe Gates,and all the AHB crossings from Newark Castle to just west of Thorpe on the Hill,then moved to Retford 1-1-89 untill 6-90,again my job was to cover all station platform and also cover the CCTV crossings,I moved to Ollerton untill late 1991 when I moved to Worksop Depot,Retired ill health 18-12-93,I was also training officer at Peak Rail for a while untill I had to stop doing this due to my ill health,my grade on BR was unknown to a lot of people, I enjoyed my time on BR just want to say thanks to a EG 4 at BRB HQ
