Da molti anni sono interessato alle bellezze del mondo vegetale, specialmente alla flora proveniente dalle lontane foreste tropicali e, con le mie fotografie, cerco di avvicinarle ai miei ed ai vostri occhi, ingrandite ed analizzate nei minimi particolari.

I fiori sono rappresentati e descritti, con occhio botanico, nelle loro precise strutture morfologiche, isolati dal contesto ed evidenziati, proprio per mostrarli in modo diverso e per poterli apprezzare ancora di più.

Cerco di curare la qualità dell’immagine e dell’inquadratura, al fine di realizzare fotografie piacevoli ed accattivanti, tali da esaltare la bellezza di ciò che la natura ha creato.

Così, insieme, potremo camminare lungo una panoramica di fiori bellissimi, rari e suggestivi. Molti hanno fiorito nel mio giardino e nella mia serra. Altri sono stati fotografati in natura nel corso dei miei viaggi.

In particolare mi occupo del gen. Passiflora di cui ho una ricca collezione e sono autore di alcuni ibridi, già diffusi.

Cerco sempre semi provenienti dalle loro zone di origine, dalle foreste sud americane. Ne curo la germinazione, ottengo pianticelle che, con pazienza, porto in fioritura.

Vedo molti di voi che pubblicano fotografie di piante per me rare e preziose, davvero desiderabili. Vorrei anch’io immergermi in questa ricchezza verde, in queste foreste e conoscere, studiare, portando da me qualcosa per continuare a vivere la loro bellezza.

Ringrazio tutti coloro che in qualche modo mi hanno aiutato ad arricchire la conoscenza e la mia collezione con specie prima a me sconosciute.

I’ve been interested in vegetable world beauty for a lot of years, especially in the flora coming from far away tropical forests and, with my photos, I try to draw them up my eyes and yours, enlarged and analyzed in detail.

The flowers are depicted and described in their precise morphologic structures, isolated from the context and highlighted, to show them in a different way and, consequently, to have the chance of appreciating them even more.

I try to take care of the quality of the image and of the shot in order to obtain so fine photos as to intensify the beauty of what nature created.

If you want, you’ll walk along a panorama of rare, beautiful and striking flowers with me.

A lot of them bloomed in my garden and in my greenhouse. Others were photographed in wildness during my journeys.

Above all I study the genus of Passiflora whose I’ve got a rich collection of, moreover I created some hybrids already quite widespread.

I look for seeds coming from their native areas, from American rainforests. I make them germinate, I obtain small plants, and, patiently, I make them bloom.

A lot of you publish pictures of plants rare and precious to me.

I’d like to immerse myself in this green wealth, in these forests to know, study, and live of their beauty. I thank the ones who helped me to enrich my collection with species I didn’t know. Many thanks for your collaboration .
