An arms race is a competition between two parties wherein both try to achieve superiority through development of resources and experimentation with new methods of working. We are using the framework of a competition in order to encourage two artists to create work. This is an attempt to outdo one another and explore personal versus collective notions of value, advancement, and superiority.
