Hello! I'm a stay-at-home Mom who dabbles in photography, birding, gardening, antiquing/junking and scrapbooking/altered art.
I enjoy playing with my camera, trying to get that "perfect shot"...if there is such a thing. I use a Canon PowerShot S3, 6 mega pixels, digital.
Most of my photos are as close-up as I can get...although occasionally I will get a little farther back. I like the close-up ones because they seem to show of the beauty more...or I think so anyway. The view of a bird's eye up close gives him/her so much more realness to a being that when you just look at them as a bird from a distance. Their feathers up close show how much work is made into one little creature. Call me old fashion but it's hard for me to believe all that beauty came from one big bang.
The bird photos I take are wild birds. We live in the country and I enjoy going down to our creek and snapping photos of them in their natural environment. Some of the birds even will come unto my lap for nut treats...birds like titmice, chickadees, Carolina wrens, and white-breasted nuthatches.
The flower shots are mostly flower that I grow in my garden; others are wild flowers that grow around our yard or in the field next to us.
Hope you enjoy some of my photos...you are more that welcome to leave a comment about them.
