Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years.
Personally, I view photography as part measure creativity, but also indicates (at least to me) how an individual views the world and his/ her surroundings. I'm fascinated by observation and what people chose to photograph and how they tell their own personal truth/ stories through the photographs that they take and how they chose to frame the composition by including or excluding specific elements.
I'm inspired and in awe of all of the wonderful different styles and perspectives that the Flickr community presents. It challenges my notions of framing, composition, abstract, colours, presentation, etc and makes me constantly strive for more creative photographic experimentation.

Swimming through Gary's photostream is an adventure in itself because of the wealth of surprises it holds. There are many gems to be found here and, doubtless, many more to come. As anyone who shares a flickr group with him knows, Gary's knowledge of composition and what makes a photograph 'work' is in abundance, as his thoughtful comments/suggestions always demonstrate. He's got an eye for both the everyday, and for things just a bit off centre. If I were you, I'd keep an eye on him too!
