Already the end of 2008, and still so very little time on my hands to take pictures!
Somehow I am starting to get a better feel for what I want in each photo. Sure, I have found the Fuji is a bit limiting for a while, but I don't think it is the dominant limiting factor ... yet :-)
Fast forward to 2020, finally on the road full time.
Of course pics start in Texas. A Nikon D810 and my old D300 have replaced the Fuji... with the occasional cell phone shots.
I have just started the longest trip ever for me, in fact at the moment my plan is for it to never end. The trip started in Texas, escaping the first cold days in the Dallas area.
I love pictures that tell a story, capture each animal's individuality it is all about nature and life in the moment.
It is quickly becoming obvious that video will be the best way to communicate the feelings and even power of some landscapes and moments...I am slowly accumulating the videos and want to make sure frames work together to convey the feeling of moments and places. I guess I will start, me too, a YouTube channel, although I have no intention of becoming a content slave.
I am on the road to catch up with all the trips I have wanted to take and to celebrate that age has not affected my hiking abilities and stamina much..."pour vue que ca dure"
I will be camping in places as remote as I can get to them.
