Married. Always intended to have two daughters I'd raise to be good feminists. Instead I have two sons, a male Border collie, and a male cat, so I'm the only XX in the entire household. (Updated: as of 2013, we added a second male Border collie, and lost the male cat, which we replaced with a female; now there are two XX's and four XYs). I took a photography class (B/W) in college a zillion years ago and stopped shooting manual once I had kids. I've only started to take up photography again (as a rank amateur) now that older son is in college. I mainly photograph Duncan (the older Border collie, as part of a "52 Weeks for Dogs" project), and Ross, the younger Border collie, as well as other things of interest to doggie people; I'd love to be better at nature photography.

The groups I'm most active in are "52 Weeks for Dogs", "Border Collie's Best", "Themes & Challenges"; and "Our Big Year of Birds" (and BOY am I behind on that last one!). I do my best to provide comments for these groups. I often find myself without anywhere near as much time as I'd like to comment on my contacts' work. I offer my sincere apologies for that; it's my lack of organization, not a reflection on your work. I wouldn't have you as a contact if I didn't sincerely admire your work and feel I could learn a lot from you. I try to limit adding new contacts simply because I feel I'm doing a lousy job as "contact" already, so please don't feel hurt if you add me as a contact and I'm slow to reciprocate.
