Gerard was one of my first Flickr contacts. He is an accomplished photographer especially of nature and scenery. He puts a lot of thought into his shots and their presentation, often with a song as a title. He produces lovely "mood" landscapes which would make great art works. Always great hearing about Biesbosch, a place he is very passionate about. His photostream is a pleasure to visit.

Gerard is a great person to know. He's a warm person with a wonderful passion for nature (and) photography. It's always nice to go on a trip together and experience some great photographical moments. He knows his "backyard" the Biesbosch as no other and is a great guide in this beautifull national monument.
