I'm a 57 year old male, born and bred in Croydon South London. I attended the old Croydon Parish Church School in Church Road 1960-1967 with one year at the new school in Warrington Road. My secondary school was just over the road at St Andrews Church Of England. I started working for Brooke Bond Oxo in Trojan Way in 1972 and left the company in 1999 when they moved to Crawley. I have an interest in local history, photography, model making, family history, computers and public transport. My father and several other members of my family worked for British Railways which encouraged my interest in the railways and i have travelled the length and breadth of britain to visit steam railways, old station sites etc. I have quite a miscellany of photos of things that no longer exist and that will be my main theme for this site. I enjoyed visiting the local pubs, especially the Gun Tavern in Church Strreet to listen to the rock bands but have sobered up over the last few years and now very rarely drink. I now spend a lot of my time surfing the web looking for anything old and interesting, travelling and collecting and making models and listening to 60's and 70's music.
