I live in The Netherlands, Europe. I love taking photos and sharing them with others.
My first digital camera was a Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom which I used in 2002 and 2003. As of 2004 I used a Nikon E8700 and later, starting in 2005, mainly the Canon 350D (also known as Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT). In december 2007 I purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-W90. I use this small camera for taking snapshots on business trips or other occasions when a DSLR is not convenient. In the summer of 2008 I bought a Canon 40D. In 2014 followed by a Canon 70D: a great camera in combination with the L-lenses I mainly use! Photographing is a thrill!
Lenses in use:
1) Canon EF-S 10-22mm 1:3.5-4.5 USM;
2) Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM (this is the 'workhorse');
3) Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM (+ extender EF 1.4x III);
4) Canon EF 50mm f/1.8;
'Old' lenses:
5) Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (kitlens);
6) Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.
All photos on my photostream are taken by myself (otherwise indicated). I also scan/digitalize old printed photos (such as vintage family photos): most of these family photos are only visible for family/friends or stay private.

I happened onto Hornplayer's photostream, and found myself engrossed in a world of wonderful photos, page after page. I started with photos from a trip to Salzburg that were so good I felt I was right there with them. Vicarious travel can be soo much fun. Then I found a series of images titles "Morning Mist-Autumn" that are truly breath-taking. He has a very keen eye for photographic potential, and he has the talent to capture the image in wonderful ways. I look forward to his postings, and often return to some pages, again and again. I wouldn't be surprised if you find yourself doing the same. Hornplayer is one of Flickr's treasures.
