TheBigPineapple is not only a great photographer, but is also a wonderful contact and friend. She is truly one of the kindest, most encouraging people I have met on Flickr. She is a super busy lady with many Flickr friends, but she somehow always manages to stop by her contacts' streams and encourage them. TheBigPineapple posseses the rare ability of being able to inspire people to be better people with her images. I love looking through her photostream, because every image just exudes joy, excitement, and confidence. In a description for one of her 365 photos, TheBigPineapple says "It's a bit morbid, but, sometimes while considering two or three different shots, I'll ask myself, "If I had to select one photo that would be on display at my funeral, which one would it be?" That's one way I can get to the essence of me." - What an amazing way to think about photography, and about life in general. Why haven't I done this earlier? This kind and beautiful woman is the first reason flickr become a happy place for me - my first friend here, my number one cheerleader and the most remarkable person I've "met" here or anywhere in ages. Want proof, check out her "Wall of Shame." I don't know how our paths crossed, since the subject matter of our photos is so different, but I am so thankful that they did. Her positive attitude, her joie de vivre and her sense of humor shine through in all of her comments and photos. Knowing that she's looking spurs me to challenge myself every day - I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. If you want to see some amazing, and dramatic photographic progress, take a look her 365 project.
