CPIT is a learning-centred tertiary institute that provides a diverse range of applied and vocational learning opportunities in the Canterbury region. Teaching programmes range from foundation level through to post graduate and there is a small but growing and well-respected research community, primarily in areas of Broadcasting, Nursing, Science, Business and Computing.

The Library is open 69 hours per week and provides high quality services and expertise to support CPIT in achieving its goals in teaching, learning and research. Library staff help with finding information, borrowing library resources, printing & copying, searching the databases, selecting and purchasing resources, and teaching information skills.
