I have been into photography as my main hobby since 2006, mainly wildlife with birds being my favourite subject but I enjoy photographing ANY type of wildlife, during the summer dragonflys are another favourite.

I use a Nikon D300 and a Nikon D80.

Update: November 2012, I have bought a Nikon D800E.

Having taken early retirement in 2008 I have plenty of time to practice. ( Do'nt say I need it, I know )

I live in South Yorkshire but I am lucky enough to spend a few months each summer in the Scottish Highlands, doing seasonal work for the RSPB, ( Royal Society for the Protection of Birds ) hence the number of pics. from there.

I'm always trying to improve so I appreciate your comments.

Update - 2018 - Now retired and living back in Yorkshire, the thing that puzzles me is how many people say they are bored when they retire, when I'm wondering how I ever fitted in the time to work ?!?!

One thing I will say is that I will be more likely to add a contact who is not afraid to editorialize their shots and say where they are taken. It is a pet hate of mine on flickr to look at someones shots and all there is is a file number, I hate not knowing what I'm looking at. I do, however, understand not adding a shot to a map if its of a protected species.
