The fact that my Dad (Stan ) had a "proper camera" that was brought out for special occasions and holidays (with mum on the Kodak cine) - with my Uncle John/Aunt Marge -Susan/Denise, occasionally visiting was i think a big influence - it enhanced the curiousity of photographs- be they manly small b/w photos with "Dad's " being "Kodak" prints. My Uncle Ken & my Dad did home developing early on - possibly late 40's -probably into the 50's. it was the bases - built further on by my only brother,Graham, even today Dad encourages me with interest in my pointing & clicking -trigger happy ways -as did my mum - leading to my Canon Eos40D kit which I hold as precious as the "few" images that did emerge from the early 60's onwards ( that sometimes featured my involvement). As with most things..both my Dad and brother, Graham have a better feel/eye for photography..tech wise-i don't come close.. but they were or are "gainfully employed" where as illness has fallen on me and recovery of interest in life falls to me via that early interest in photography, railways, football, music, animals .. to record life as I disappointingly record it!..and it has been!. My thanks are offered ... and the patience shown by both parents and some family who were "clicked upon" -sometimes endlessly ( for no apparrent worth while end product.
