Hi there :) thanks for calling by.
You may know my name from transport magazines (Buses, Coach & Bus Week, Paddle Wheels, Bus & Coach Preservation and others). Yes I am 'that' John Lidstone so you'll know my specialism is road transport photography - my first photos were taken in 1965 and I began serious transport photography in 1970, processing all my own B&W photos in my Dad's darkroom, with colour taking over in summer 1981.
OK, now we've got that out of the way, what may surprise you is that I love general photography as well as transport - so that means everything from sunsets to spring buds, aircraft to autumn tints, architecture to cats.......
I strive for originality and through my images, I try to show atmosphere, character and do what I do to the best quality I can.
Welcome, come and enjoy my image world :)
NOTE: You are very welcome to browse my images for 'web browsing' only - they must not be reproduced, copied, stored, downloaded or altered in any way without permission. If you want an individual original copy for a particular reason, please ask and I'll do my best to help you.
Any other use, sharing or sale (other than browsing for personal use) will constitute an offence as an infringement of copyright law and will be vigourously pursued if discovered - I don't want that, so please treat my images with respect.
Thank you. Enjoy my pics.
