concerning the quality of the images viewed on this site:

translating paintings and drawings for digital presentation has many drawbacks. i have tried to the best of my ability to reproduce the works shown here accurately. often, however, i experience the frustration of not being successful in my attempt at these depictions, especially in terms of color nuance and textural presence. my hope is that there is still some gratification to be offered even though many of the subtle qualities are not fully true to the original work.
