Hi and Welcome to my little place in Flickr world.
I'm obsessed with MACRO Photography (specifically tiny creatures) as I guess the tiny world we all find so fascinating and enchanting as children has never left me.
What's the attraction to Macro?
I love that it highlights things not usually noticed with the naked eye, it uncovers a whole new world most people would never normally see.
I can't help but personalize my tiny subjects. After watching them go about their daily activities, whether its hunting for food, cleaning themselves or even sun-baking, I'm always amazed that we are not that different from these little creatures as we are doing the same things, just leading more complicated lives.
Here are a few of my Favourite creatures I have so far had the pleasure to photograph.
**The Trumpet**
A weevil with the longest nose! what a beauty.
**Shaggy**
An adorable Flower Wasp. I just love that long mane of silvery hair.
**Ruby-Eyed Beauty**
One of the most amazing and largest wasps I've so far encountered. What an amazing colour combination pink and red!
**Flower Wasp Dewdrops**
I love this beautiful little wasp, its appearance is more bee-like. I was happy to find this one still sleeping and covered with the morning dew, it allowed me to get in nice and close and get some good eye details.
**Pretty Eyes**
One of my favourite Jumpers (Salticidae) spiders. How can you not fall in love with those beautiful eyes!
**Sticky Feet**
This Paper Wasp was an amazing subject, I fed her a little honey to prepare for her busy spring ahead, she allowed me to get in nice and close, cleaning her feet.
**I'm Shy and Gentle**
Probably my favourite creature I have photographed to date. An amazing creature with such soulful eyes.
One word of advice for the ultra-macro newbie out there?
* You can read all the macro books and forums till your head spins, but if you don't go out and practice for yourself, you'll never progress. Practice. Practice. Practice.
