I've been railfanning since I was a small boy when I used to bike down to Woburn Junction as it was then. I like all aspects of rail but broadened my horizens past locomotives, now I particularly like ghost railways and rail infrastructure. This pic below says it all, I went on this trip nearly 40 years ago on a train hauled by one of the EE Df and went back there last year to see the remnants of the Thames Branch.

I suffered a major stroke Dec 30 2017 and was lucky to survive. I'm still able to do my passion of rail photos but have to keep my work level down. I've been lucky with recovery as immediately after I was in Gaga land for a week after a 7-1/2 operation on my brain!
