I've always been creative although I did divert my attention to undertaking a science degree (mainly earth sciences) between 1992 and 2000. But the circle has turned and I just can't seem to stop doing my art (acrylics, pastels etc) and taking photographs.

Photography has been important to me over the years but the arrival of my first digital camera only a few years ago has certainly helped move things on.

The artistic side keeps creeping in, especially with digital images that don't quite meet my expectations in themselves. But they make great opportunities for the abstract, and the different. Why waste a photograph??!! And I know I'm not the only one who 'sees' shapes and forms leap out from colours/monochrome on the screen.

I wish everyone creative abundance and joy in what they are doing and success in their lives.

Update 3 December 2010:

Well, what a difference a year makes!!

Started off the year single and the year is coming to an end with me being all loved up and married!! I got married last Saturday and so begins the next 'year' of my new life.

My message to all of you out there: be happy and true to yourself and you never know what blessings lie around the corner.
