Hello, I'm David Timothy.

I started on the railway as a Secondman at Cricklewood in 1971 and transferred to Maidstone Barracks as a Driver in December 1974, where I remained until depot closure in 1985.

After that I became a Traction Instructor at the Southern Region Training School at Waterloo where I got the nickname 'Tightlock' which is my user name on Flickr.

After that I went into management as Depot Manager, Grove Park, then took redundancy in 1998.

I worked as a rail consultant for the following six years, then returned to the South West Trains Training Centre at Basingstoke from 2004 - 2008.
