I started my journey into photography in mid 2010. I am completely self-taught, and I contribute much of what I have learned to the flickr community. I have made some great contacts and for the most part, most people are willing to share their knowledge, as am I. It is still a learning process for me and I imagine it will always be.

I used to participate in groups mainly to get more views and to try to get helpful critiques but I don’t participate in groups these days, not that there is anything wrong with them, but I find the canned comments and “awards” to be meaningless. I am not out to get the most comments or have the most contacts, I just want to share my pictures and I think this is the best place to do it.

Please do not be offended if you add me as a contact and I do not reciprocate. I usually only add people who’s work I admire or people who’s comments I find helpful and frequent. I am also fairly active with my contacts so having hundreds of contacts makes it difficult to participate with the ones that actively participate with me. If you do comment on my photos I will always make an effort to comment back and if I add you as a contact and I continually comment on your photos but you do not reciprocate I will delete you. Fell free to send me mail or ask questions, I am always willing to give some advice, even if you’re not a contact.

I have left quite a few of my older shots, even some of my first shots, up on my page. While I think they suck, they help to chronicle my journey and might give encouragement to someone starting out. Getting started frustrated the hell out of me! I am also not a master of editing. I can fumble my way through PS and LR but for the most part all of my shots are SOOC, with some minor adjustments and cloning of dust specs.
