Dear Jess, This testimonial for you has been far too long overdue. As your screen name says - “my lovely life through a lens” - it has indeed been really lovely to see your world through your camera. The photos that you’ve captured consist of so many different beautiful moments of life, moments that tend to go unnoticed when one is too busy with life itself to stop and appreciate the surrounding. So thankyou for that, for inspiring me to open my eyes and seek out those little details of beauty. I love the variety in your photostream, ranging from plants and nature, to objects, skies, building structures, animal and portraits. I find it admirable how you challenge yourself by stepping out of your comfort zone to take photos of landscape, and you do it so well. Through your photostream, I’ve also realised that it doesn’t matter what equipment you take your photos with - be it dslr, film or ipod, they all have their own beauty and authenticity. and this only makes the images from your life seem more interesting and honest. The colours and the way you edit is the most distinctive – they are vibrant and have these lovely warm tones, vintage even, that gives it much warmth and comfort. It is truly a magical mix of colour and light. Above all, you are also one of the most supportive people ever, always so kind and friendly. This is long over-due, I must admit :) I'm really glad to have met Jess on Flickr, as she is such a gorgeous friend and photographer! Her words are always so kind and encouraging, and I'm enjoying speaking to her more and more!
