I have always had an interest in photography from an early age using the old style Kodak film cameras. Taking shots of anything & everything, I can remember getting excited when the film was ready to be picked up :P Later on In 2006 I bought a Pentax Optio S 3.2mp point and shoot off a work mate for $200 and whilst the idea of digital was great the image quality was pretty poor, that camera retailed for around $600 back then...crazy considering what we have in this day and age.

As time passed I didn't really use a still camera that much and I dabbled in video for a short while, but that soon faded when I purchased my first SLR in October 2009, a Canon EOS 1000D with 2 kit lenses. I put 10'000 clicks on the shutter in under a year and then thought it was time for a slight upgrade to a 40D (Oct 2010) . Although it was released earlier than the 1000D & second hand, it had way more pro style features and most of my best shots were taken with the 40D.

As good as the 40D still is I wanted more. Not even a year had passed and as of (31st March 2011) I landed a 5D Mark II. Absolutely no comparison to the later as the full frame resolution is second to none.

Im still learning as I go and loving every moment of it, most of my weekends are spent with camera in hand, even during the week...time permitting. My main area of interest is land & sea scapes but I enjoy capturing anything really.
