Animal Freedom Aotearoa is a national grassroots animal rights group based on non-hierarchical consensus based decision making.

We have active groups in Wellington, Otaki and Auckland who campaign on various issues including fur, foie gras and animal testing as well as providing information to the public about the plight of animals through stalls, film screenings, workshops and factory farm visits. Each campaign group tries to co-ordinate nationally and works within the groups guidelines but otherwise they are autonomous and free to take action and make decisions as they see fit.

Our local organising groups in Auckland and Wellington act as place of unity for the various campaign and working groups and a place to discuss issues relating to the national group and new activities, campaigns and ideas.

We also have an investigation team who work through out the country documenting the conditions in which millions of animals are suffering in Aotearoa.
