I'm old enough to have taken my first photographs on 116 film, I have to admit, with an old box camera that leaked light like a sieve.
Although I've had a decent camera ever since I was 16 or so and have worked in newspapers since my early 20s, I've always been a writer who can take competent pictures rather than an out and out professional photographer. Which is not to say I haven't picked up a great many tips from working alongside real pros over the years.
Now mainly using Olympus EM1 and EM10, with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 for travelling light. Don't even ask about the drawers full of assorted film SLRs and the like!
