Fraternal Photos
Drag to set position!
Two of my great passions are freemasonry and photography. Traveling throughout the world, experiencing other cultures, meeting brethren from other communities and seeing the beauty, and sometimes ugliness, of the world has helped me understand the universality of our fraternity. It has made me appreciate the fraternal ties of our order because wherever I go, including remote countries like Czech Republic and Chile there was always someone that gave me a hand when I needed.
I studied architecture at the Sapienza University of Rome, at the Vicenza Institute of Architecture in Italy and graduated from the College of Architecture, Art and Design at Mississippi State University, and although my primary concentration was architecture I have been involved in photography since childhood. I experienced a renewed enthusiasm for photography after taking some photography courses during my teen years in Peru. My teacher was an environmental photographer who spends much time caring for the lives of endangered species throughout the coast of Peru. His work helped me developed an excitement for photography and travel.
Freemasonry and photography has encouraged me to begin some long wanted projects. I am currently in the process of writing a book about the universality of our fraternity, which describes how freemasonry’s objectives differ from place to place and I was able to start my own studio, Gonzáles Loo Studios, which currently encompasses photography and web design, and advertisement in a near future.
Through my fraternal photos I seek to record my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events and to share with others the beauty and diversity of Freemasonry as I see it. As the images of other photographers and the actions of other fellow masons have inspired me, I hope my own contributions will inspire others to do the same.
