I live between Southampton and Portsmouth (England). I grew up near the 'Lake District' in the North of England, which is where my passion for photography started.

I like Macro, Landscape, architecture and wildlife photography genre’s but will try anything I suppose.

I started with a film SLR a long time ago but toot a break from photography when I went to University (I could not afford to get the rolls of film developed any more). I returned to photography in the digital era. I purchased my first DSLR around 2007 and it was the Nikon D200. I started to actively return to photography as an interest. My current cameras are a D800E (for landscapes and general) and a D700 (sports).

I post all sorts of picture, some good and I am sure some bad with the aim of getting constructive feedback. When it comes right down to it, I have no real ego with respect to the pictures I post, if you like them, fine, if you don't, oh well. My aim within Flickr is to gain inspiration from other peoples work and hopefully learn to be a better photographer through feedback and viewing your work.

My main kit:

Fuji X-E1 with 18-55mm

Nikon D800E (new and shiny)

Nikon D700 (Relegated to sports only)

Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 (use it as my walkabout lens)

Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 AF-S (my fave lens for big skys)

Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 AF-S (the workhorse)

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII AF-S (great lens but too heavy to walk around with)

I have some primes that I use from time to time.

My favourite camera is the Fuji X-E1, it takes wonderful pictures, or maybe I just take a little more time with this camera (?).
