I hate writing these profile things as I always look back at it later and think, what was a talking about, but here goes....

I'm originally from North Yorkshire, Wensleydale in fact. Possibly one of the most beautiful places to live in the UK (asides living with a Cathedral on my doorstep). I am not made of cheese, but I do like it. I also am fond of sweets, and partial to peanut butter on toast from time to time. I have one cat, four fish, and a young gent at my side.

I really started to take an interest whilst volunteering in Namibia in 2006. For three months I trekked, tidied and built my way around the country. Why, you ask, did that make me take an interest in photography? Well, the sights were amazing, but my photo's were captured on a smashed up camera. two weeks into my expedition a landrover drove over my bag, crushed my camera, and I thought that was the end of the world! only to find, it would still take photos. Not one of my photo's on here of my expedition was looked back at until my return to the UK after three months of not knowing what I'd taked pics of, let alone whether they'd even come out.

Asides travelling I also have a passion for snowboarding. I worked in Courchevel for six months in 06/07, and make regular trips back to france during the winters. Initially I wanted to be more trained to sports/ski/snowboard photography, but after doing a course at college, I realised I have the eye for portraiture.

In photo's I like space, a proper background and I live by my motto 'get it right before it gets to the computer, and there's no need to faff'.

That's me!
