Learning to take good images. Starting from low base. (that is how I described myself in 2009 when I started out on Flickr.
I think I am a little bit better now - it used to take me around 500 shots to get one good one, now I am hopefully down to 1 in 20 or so. Mostly because I am learning where to find the good light.
I am also learning how to use cameras - when I started I had a Pentax KM, now I think I understand the craft to warrant a full frame camera and so got a second hand Canon 5DMark II, shooting predominately RAW images on manual settings. (thanks to Aaron Reed for getting me to this phase).
As best as possible I try not to mess around with digital processing too much. I use Lightroom and mainly limit myself to fiddling with contrast and fixing 'dust bunnies'. I have done one HDR shot, just to know what was involved, but prefer my shots to be 'accurate' whatever that means.
