Having studied Art as a young student I did not return to this field until seven years ago. This came about as I was suffering with severe back pain and diagnosed with chronic degeneration of the spine. I therefore had to change from physically active as a landscaper and property renovator to a mentally driven person, stepping into the creative minefield of Art. The transition was strangely comfortable and natural. It felt as if I was being guided by forces unknown.
I have traveled to many parts of the planet and I have been greatly influenced by the experiences that I have encountered, from the spiritual, natural, physical and mental aspects of the world in which we attempt to exist.
Depth, space and colour, often with the concealed presence of meaning, forms most of my concepts pertaining to my acrylic work on canvas or board.
My photographic style incorporates detail of part of a whole, and/or the inclusion of oddness in an otherwise normal situation, tempting the viewer to think twice about what they are observing.
Since my renaissance into the Art world, I have exhibited in the South East of England and also in France and Ireland.
Physical disability should never hinder creativity.
