I have been birding since 1972 when I was a young teenager but it is only relatively recently that I have shown an interest in the photography side of things.

I always chat to other photographers in an attempt to broaden my knowledge and pick up tips. I reckon I am 90% birder, 10% bird photographer but that percentage may well change.
