I love taking pictures that tell stories. I want someone to look at one of my photos and immediately either understand the message or be able to make up a story in their head.
I am not super high-tech in my photography. My camera is slightly better quality than a simple point-and-shoot, but not professional quality.
I mostly like taking pictures of people, as they tell the best stories. There are a thousand things that can create a story: what they are wearing, their position and posture, where they are, objects around them.
My favorite famous photographer is Weegee because he documented and said something about people. He is best known for his crime scene photos, but I like the documentary shots of people on the Upper East Side of New York better.
